COVID-19 Prevention Program

Cal/OSHA has adopted emergency regulations effective 11/30/2020 governing workplace safety requirements for the prevention of COVID-19 in the workplace.

All employers who are not otherwise held to the Aerosol Transmissible Disease Standard (primarily healthcare) are required to have a written prevention plan in place.  While the City has aggressively worked to implement policies for health screening, facial coverings, physical distancing, and workplace contact tracing, these regulations now require employers to do these things along with the written plan and basic training for COVID-19 prevention.
